Annisa Sekaringrat, Jonathan Presley and Evelyn Ersanilli attended the American Political Science Association conference in Philadelphia on September 4-9, 2024.

Jonathan presented a comparison of the drafting process of a National Migration Policy in Kenya and Senegal. The paper looks at domestic dynamics and at the role of IOM as funder and provider of technical assistance.

Annisa presented analyses of the use of migration bans as bargaining tool in negotiations on BLA on domestic worker migration by Indonesia in its negotiations with Malaysia and by the Philippines in its negotiation with Kuwait.

The team members were pleased with the response and feedback they received and hopes to finalise their papers soon.
