Stakeholder workshop in Nairobi

On October 1st, the RIGHTS project organized a focus group discussion in Nairobi, Kenya. The event was attended by various Kenyan stakeholders working in the labour migration field.

The event opened with Annisa Sekaringrat presenting findings from her research on Indonesia’s labour migration program. She particularly highlighted insights on the Indonesian government’s role in migration management and bilateral negotiations with destination countries.

Jonathan Presley then presented the preliminary results from his fieldwork in Kenya and gathered the stakeholder’s feedback on the research. The engaging discussion touched on a range of topics across the migration management and policy sphere in Kenya.

The event was a great occasion to exchange and learn from each other’s experience and expertise. We are grateful for the stakeholders for their time and valuable insights shared during the discussion.
